Dirty Projectors, it's been a minute. About four years to be exact. Dirty Projectors' last project was 2012's About to Die EP and before that their seventh studio album Swing Lo Magellan. But Dirty Projectors has, thankfully, returned. After teasing visuals they have released a music video for their new song "Keep Your Name." 2016 is shaping up to be a fantastic year for music, if I say so myself. The black and white video opens with hauntingly beautiful piano chords. David Longstreth then begins to devastatingly sing about love lost in pitched down vocals, "I don't know why you abandoned me/ you were my soul and my partner/ what we imagined and what we became..." The song switches up by introducing some glitchy sounds and a beat dropping. The music video was directed by David Longstreth and Elon Rutberg. They don't disappoint. Listen to the audio version of the track via Spotify here and watch the visuals for the song via YouTube below. And make sure to check back for more from Dirty Projectors.
