BADBADNOTGOOD Perform "Differently, Still" Live At The Moran Plant In Burlington, Vermont
BADBADNOTGOOD have taken to the Moran Plant in Burlington, Vermont to help garner awareness for their fund-raising initiative, hoping to source $11 million to repurpose what used to be a coal processing facility as a lakeside retreat and recreational center for musicians and artists alike. From the hollowed-out warehouse space, Toronto's trio of jazz punks delivered a well-oiled live take of "Differently, Still" off of last year's III LP, driving the groove with a flurry of grand piano licks and a very choppy drum treatment, all of which catch the booming reverb of the room.
While III is easily the most fitting gauge for the trio's sound these days, offerings like "Velvet" and the promise of a Ghostface Killah collaborative piece landing in February in the form of the Sour Soul LP have made 2015 the year these kids ascend to the level of rigorous dynamism we had always hoped they'd attain. In any case, you can make your contribution to The Moran Plant project by heading over to their site.
