Verzuz is making its return with a splash. The popular music battle series is back with No Limit Records and Cash Money Records facing off on October 25. This is the first Verzuz show in three years, set for ComplexCon in Las Vegas. Timbaland and Swizz Beatz made the announcement online, with Cash Money's Birdman, Juvenile, and B.G. and No Limit's Master P, Silkk The Shocker, and Mia X sharing the flyer soon after.
“This is going to be Epic!” wrote Mia X on Instagram. “See you in Vegas.”

Verzuz became a phenomenon during the quarantined days of the COVID-19 pandemic. The series rose to prominence featuring matchups like SWV vs Xscape, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony vs. Three Six Mafia, RZA vs. DJ Premier and KRS-One vs. Big Daddy Kane, and Jeezy vs Gucci Mane.
It grew from Zoom-friendly beginnings and a battle between Timbaland and Swizz Beatz themselves, to an arena-sized event, and the co-creators eventually signed lucrative contracts with Apple and Triller. The series pinnacle was inarguably The LOX vs Dipset, which took place at Madison Square Garden in August 2021.
Earlier this year, Swizz pushed back against claims he and Tim sold the brand out by partnering with corporations. He addressed the criticism during a livestream with Young Guru and 19Keys in June.
"We ain't sell out, we sold in," said Swizz. "I ain't never sold out a day in my life... Sold out for what? It ain't enough money to sell out... We sold into a idea. Verzuz didn't have a valuation because we gave it to the people for free... These are well thought out plans, not freestyles."
