Trump Wants Beyoncé and Springsteen’s Kamala Harris Endorsements Investigated
The president claims former VP Kamal Harris illegally paid celebrities during her 2024 campaign.
President Donald Trump is calling for a federal investigation into former Vice President Kamala Harris's presidential campaign and the celebrity endorsements Harris received during that campaign. Stars like Beyoncé, Bruce Springsteen, and more would endorse the former VP in her 2024 bid for the White House
According to HuffPost, Trump is accusing Harris of accepting "a major and illegal campaign contribution" from the artists who appeared at her rallies. He has submitted no evidence.
“How much did Kamala Harris pay Bruce Springsteen for his poor performance during her campaign for president?” Trump posted on his social media site, Truth Social, on Monday (May 19). “Why did he accept that money if he is such a fan of hers? Isn’t that a major and illegal campaign contribution? …And how much went to Oprah, and Bono???”
categorically deniedTrump still made the claim in his posts.
“According to news reports, Beyoncé was paid $11,000,000 to walk onto a stage, quickly ENDORSE KAMALA, and walk off to loud booing for never having performed, NOT EVEN ONE SONG!” Trump claimed. “Remember, the Democrats and Kamala illegally paid her millions of Dollars for doing nothing other than giving Kamala a full throated ENDORSEMENT. THIS IS AN ILLEGAL ELECTION SCAM AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL! IT IS AN ILLEGAL CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTION! BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, OPRAH, BONO AND, PERHAPS, MANY OTHERS, HAVE A LOT OF EXPLAINING TO DO!!!”
