Today alone saw the official unveiling of excellent new projects from HAIM, Toro y Moi and DJ Shadow, while the weeks ahead hold Tyler The Creator's freshly-announced Scum Fuck Flower Boy, two new voyages with Shabazz Palaces (already proving to be their best work to date,) a standalone project from Anderson .Paak's band, The Free Nationals, along with all-but-confirmed outings from a post-TIDAL Kanye West, the revived Pharrell x Justin Timberlake union and our very own Roots crew (with help from 9th Wonder and Salaam Remi.) That year-end reader's poll is gonna be grueling and revelatory.
