The Grammy winner posted about her recent diagnosis and her dislike of artificial intelligence from her Instagram burner account.

SZA performs onstage at the BET Awards 2026 held at Peacock Theater on June 28, 2026 in Los Angeles, California.

SZA has recently shared her autism diagnosis. The Grammy-winner, born Solána Rowe, posted about it on her Instagram burner account, disclosing that she has been formally diagnosed with Austism Spectrum Disorder, which she described as Asperger's syndrome and high-functioning autism.

"Finally took the time n got formally diagnosed...smarter than u," she wrote from @notmusicatalliswear, alongside images she shared of her clinical evaluation paperwork. According to the documents, she exhibits traits consistent with Autism Spectrum Disorder, including sensory defensiveness and a qualitative impairment in social interaction.

The reports described her as “a woman who presents with a history, patterning of scores, behaviors, on examination that are quite consistent with Autism Spectrum Disorder,” noting that she “has a qualitative impairment in reciprocal social interaction” and “marked sensory defensiveness.”

“Stop playing in my face cause pattern recognition told me and I WILL get to the bottom of it thanks,” she also joked.

SZA's post also referenced her recent criticism of artificial intelligence.

"Pretty sure this is why I'm taking A.I. so personally," she said, while adding, “[and] why I’m in every comment section.”

“We make up 13% of the American population yet influence the world w our sound and perspective,” she wrote at the time in a caption on her @notmusicatalliswear Instagram account. ”I AINT HEARD A WHITE AI SONG YET… We have no protection in legislature medical or creative. The easiest to steal from. DO NOT GIVE AWAY YOUR VIBRANIUM !!! DO NOT TRAIN AI W YOUR GENIUS.”
