Onra returns with another expansive crate excursion. The French beat-maker, wildly unsung over the last ten years of crafting thematic mixtapes and albums, released the inaugural edition of Chinoiseries in 2008, with a sequel arriving in 2011. Today the final transmission arrives with ChinoiseriesPt. 3, a follow-up to his 2015 boom-bap salute, Fundamentals.

Those familiar with the series already know what to expect; intricate chops of records found in his notorious wrecka stow excavations. The suites range from house and funk-infused ("The Spirit of Blossoms All Over The Land") to bluesy and soulful transformations ("Like The Seasons,") touching corners of the music map you never even knew existed. Just be sure to protect your neck. The head-nod is too real with this one.
