Steve Lacy Returns with Playful New Song "JEAN JACK IT"

Fresh off the road in Europe, Steve Lacy has returned with his first new song since the release of Apollo XXI.

Teased for months on Instagram, Lacy has released the new song "JEAN JACK IT" on Soundcloud. Trading in heavy hooks for light, off-the-cuff lines and sparse harmonies, the Compton singer glides over a washed-out instrumental. Released in early summer, Lacy's debut solo album, Apollo XXI, is up for Best Urban Contemporary Album at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, contending with Lizzo, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Nao, and Jessie Reyez, for the golden gramophone.
