Matt Barnes might have just put an end to all the conspiracy theories.
Earlier in the week, Trey Kerby, of The Starters podcast, had tweeted a warning; don't watch the "no flinch" Kobe Bryant/Matt Barnes footage, unless you want it to be ruined.
Of course, someone dug up the footage (shout out to World_Wide_Wob.) And, yes, the moment was kind of ruined:

But...not so fast. TMZ was able to get Matt Barnes, who last played for the 2016-17 Golden State Warriors, on the line. Barnes seemed tired of the topic. However, he did say, with 100 percent certainty that he fake spiked the ball directly at Kobe's face. And he did not move.
Barnes said:
As far as I know that shit went in his face and he didn't flinch. I thought that was a dead story.

Also, if you haven't seen it already (where have you been?) check out the "no flinch" footage for youself. The moment came during a March 7, 2010 game be the Los Angeles Lakers and the Memphis Grizzlies.
