So, Beyoncé is Reportedly a Billionaire Now
Beyoncé's country album and accompanying 'Cowboy Carter Tour' led her to billionaire status, joining the ranks of music legends like JAY-Z and Rihanna.

Between her marriage to JAY-Z and her general institutional power as one of the most talented and all-around iconic women on Earth, Beyoncé has functionally been a billionaire for a while now. But it’s now apparently official. According to a Monday report from Forbes, the Queen Bey recently crossed the threshold into literal billionaire status following a very successful year of touring her country album Cowboy Carter.
The outlet reports that Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Tour was her major earner, with her DIY management and production strategy enabling her to maximize profit margins; she owns her own management company, Parkwood Entertainment, and it produced the whole thing. The tour reportedly grossed over $400 million, and Forbes says that, between her touring, endorsement deals and her catalog, she took in $148 million in earnings before taxes. She is reportedly now the fifth musician to become a billionaire, with other members of the club being Bruce Springsteen, Rihanna, Taylor Swift and, of course, her husband HOV.
The financial level-up is just the latest in a series of big wins for Bey. Earlier this year, she took home her first-ever Grammy Award for Album of the Year, with Cowboy Carter earning her the accolade that so many believed she should’ve won a long time ago. The moment wasn’t lost on her.
"I just feel full and very honored," Beyoncé said in her acceptance speech. "It's been many, many years. I just want to thank the Grammys, every songwriter, every collaborator, every producer, all of the hard work." Word.
