Snoop Dogg Says He Called Kendrick Lamar to Apologize for Sharing Drake Diss
Snoop reposted Drake’s “Taylor Made Freestyle,” which included AI-generated vocals using the West Coast rapper’s voice.
Snoop Dogg essentially publicly apologized to Kendrick Lamar for sharing “Taylor Made Freestyle,” Drake’s diss track against him, late last month — and now, Snoop has shared that he also called Lamar to apologize as well.
The Bootleg Kev PodcastSnoop claimed that he did a “collaborative post” on the song, as well as didn’t know what the actual track was.
“I’m thinking I’m posting ‘Gin & Juice.’ Then I get the word [Kendrick] didn’t like what you posted,” he said. “Then I deleted it, called nephew and left him a message… Nephew, it’s Uncle Snoop, I got the message, I apologize, I was f**ked up. My bad.”
On “Taylor Made Freestyle,” the track included AI-generated vocals using Snoop’s voice, as well as the voice of the late Tupac. The latter’s estate sent a cease-and-desist letter to Drake over the song.
Lamar referenced Snoop sharing the track on GNX’s “Wacced Out Murals,” rapping: “Snoop posted ‘Taylor Made,’ I prayed it was the edibles / I couldn't believe it, it was only right for me to let it go.”
