That's how Fergie ended one of the most perplexing National Anthem renditions you'll ever see. On Sunday evening, ex-Black Eyed Peas star Fergie sung the National Anthem before the 2018 NBA All-Star Game.

Instead of performing the song in a traditional manner, Fergie did something that was more dramatic and bluesy. (Maybe she was trying to pay homage to Marvin Gaye, who, in 1983, did a polarizing rendition of the National Anthem at the NBA All-Star Game.
Fergie's rendition was odd. And you could tell right away it wasn't going well. The NBA cam caught various amused reaction shots of players and stars in the audience:
