Sean “Diddy” Combs in Solitary Confinement After Prison Fight
The former music mogul reportedly got into an altercation after he was insulted by a fellow inmate.

Sean Combs has reportedly been placed in solitary confinement after a fight in prison with another inmate. Combs is serving a 50-month sentence on two interstate prostitution convictions at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey. NBC News reports that the prison fight started after an inmate insulted Combs.
Per TMZ, the two inmates got into a scuffle and started pushing each other and throwing jabs. Their sources say that the former music mogul "held his own" during the brawl, which was stopped quickly by prison staff who separated both men.
The 56-year-old was sentenced to 50 months in prison in October 2025, following his trial earlier that summer. He received credit for time served prior to his trial. The Bad Boy Entertainment founder was convicted of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution following his media-heavy federal trial.
Combs was acquitted of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. He is appealing his conviction and his 4-year sentence. It is unclear if he will be temporarily in solitary confinement or if it will be long-term.
When he was initially transported to the corrections facility, Combs was not being housed in the prison's general population, but in the special drug program unit, sources told ABC News. It is unclear whether Combs was subsequently moved to more general areas of the facility with other inmates.
Combs’ release date is currently slated for February 2028, which had been moved up from April of that year. It is not clear if the reported fight will cause his release date to be pushed back.
“He has not violated any prison rules," Combs' representative told People in a November statement. "His sobriety and self-discipline are priorities, and he is taking them seriously.” He also added: “We ask the public and the press to give him the benefit of the doubt, the privacy to focus on his personal growth, and the grace to move forward in peace."
