ROC Nation Addresses JAY-Z Album Rumors
The label posted a succinct message on social media after producer Ray Daniels claimed Hov’s next album is “completely done.”

Roc Nation is addressing rumors of a JAY-Z album being on the way. After music executive Ray Daniels made comments claiming Hov’s next LP is “completely done,” the label offered a statement on the status of the project. Daniels made the claims on a recent episode of his Ray Daniels Presents podcast.
“His album is done,” Daniels shared confidently. “It’s completely done. We might get it if somebody partners with him. If nobody partners with him, it’s not coming. He is not playing about his brand. Somebody called and confirmed it for me.”
Roc Nation's response was succinct.
“‘Album done’ … Fake news,” Roc Nation wrote in a post to the company’s Instagram Story on Monday, August 10.
While Daniels never worked for Roc-A-Fella, he has held prominent executive positions at Warner, Universal, Interscope and Epic Records. He also had Roc-A-Fella co-founder Dame Dash on his The GAUDS Show.
This all comes amidst JAY’s most high-profile year in a decade. Back in May, the Brooklyn icon performed at Roots Picnic and then JAY headlined three straight nights at Yankee Stadium in July.
Jay is celebrating the 30th anniversary of his debut album, Reasonable Doubt, with shows in London (September 4 and 5), Paris (September 10) and Los Angeles (October 23 and 24) later this year.
