Roc Marciano Drops His New Album, ‘656,’ This Friday

This week, Roc Marciano is dropping off a new LP that’s largely self-produced.

It’s hard to be both meticulous and prolific, but Roc Marciano makes it look easy. He’ll presumably continue doing so when he drops his new album, 656, this Friday. He announced it on Instagram yesterday.

“656 dropping on Friday fully produced by me 😤 Artwork by my bro @josuethomas,” Roc wrote in the caption for an IG post that includes the album cover.

When the project drops, it will make three projects Roc’s dropped in just under three years. The first of those three was Marciology, dropped on March 29, 2024, an album that included production from himself, Animoss, and The Alchemist. Next up was his Alchemist-produced LP, Skeleton Key, a December 2024 release that probably missed out on a lot of best albums lists because of its timing. Now, he’s set to unload again, and it will probably include all the chilling soundscapes and cutting lyricism that’s made him a defining voice in NY street rap. It should be fun.
