Deadline is reporting that Sony Pictures is negotiating with young directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah to direct Bad Boys For Life, the third movie in the iconic Bad Boys series. The two are best known for directing the Belgian film Black. They also directed the pilot episode of FX's Snowfall.
The plan is to reunite Will Smith and Martin Lawrence for their roles. If all goes to plan, production will start in August. Jerry Bruckheimer is already on as producer.
The latest rendition of the script was written by Chris Bremner. Bad Boys For Life originally had a release date of January 12, 2018. Obviously, things didn't go as planned.
