It may still be too early to call it a classic, but since its August 2016 release, Solange's A Seat at The Table has remained in its own singular sphere of political and cultural relevance.
That extended sweet-spot is rare and maintained by both the artist (through surgically-sharp mixed media performances in museums across the world) and those impacted by a beautifully brutal album that pulls heavy on the heartstrings. In celebration of that uncommon and continued reign, a limited edition 2xLP pressing of the album is slated to arrive on 150-gram red wax, not unlike the blood-red moon that serves as an occasional backdrop to her performances.
