The ritual gift-giving puts the Toronto producer and songwriter in possession of early 12-inch singles from unheralded Jamaican and Canadian music pioneers and finds PND championing the Space Jam soundtrack, itself one of the best curations of mid-nineties hip-hop and r&b -- featuring D'Angelo, The Roots and a pre-scandal R Kelly -- and apparently, an indisposable piece to the PND puzzle, as he claims to have developed an inseparable bond with the OST from an early age.
