Shake off the itis with the week’s coldest cuts

Happy day after the bird, good people. Hope we all beat the traffic to the table and comfortably settled into a long weekend of leftovers and lethargy. You fucking earned it, champ.

With much of the country still working against the caloric uptick, it’s a short, but fairly potent Release Day to report. Full-lengths were few and far between, but if you need a new long-play in your life this weekend, look no farther than Ian Isiah’s freshly liberated, Shugga Sextape Vol 1. Holy hell, do we need r&b this sleek and simultaneously off-kilter.

Virtually unchallenged, singles reigned supreme. Earl Sweatshirt officially announced the follow-up to 2015’s I Don’t Like Shit, I Don’t Go Outside, with the gritty and glitched, “The Mint.” A$AP Rocky added his name to the ever-lengthening list of Tame Impala impersonators with “Sundress.” Breakbot broke out a Franco-funk remix of Parcels’ “Lightemup.” Deem Spencer announced his debut full-length with the sobering suite “is.” And Aminé amplified his “Reel It In” anthem with a guest verse from ATLIien gawd, Gucci Mane.

You can hear it all in this week’s installment of The Round-Up below. Hit the link to subscribe to Okayplayer’s Spotify channel for all your weekend couch warrior needs (and so much more.)
