The 10th Annual Roots Picnic has come and gone, but the memories are still vivid of our time in the cool silhouette of Philadelphia's Ben Franklin Bridge.
We've already brought you one of Mobb Deep's final runs as a duo and offered a sliver of a Roots-assisted medley of Clipse hits, featuring a meaty freestyle from Philly's own Black Thought. Today, we're capping off the 2017 campaign with yet another highlight from Skateboard P & The Yessirs' decades-spanning headline set. Fitting their own hit "Break You Off" between the spacious Neptunes strings from 702's "I Still Love You," the all-star ensemble masterfully blends the best of each respective world into one dreamy composition. Now, if we could just get that reworked Hidden Figures soundtrack from The Roots, that'd really be something.
