NxWorries Takes Fans on a Joyride in GTA-Inspired Video for "Daydreaming"

NxWorries is in full album promo mode, with a new video for their latest single coming ahead of summer concert appearances.

NxWorries’ fandom of video game franchise Grand Theft Auto comes to life in the music video for their latest single “Daydreaming.” Directed by Knxwledge, one-half of the Stones Throw Records duo, fellow member Anderson .Paak is seen in the Rockstar Games-created visual in what appears to be the fictional city of Los Santos. No stranger to the GTA universe, last year, the musician also appeared in and provided music for Dr. Dre’s The Contract story mode.

“Daydreaming” is NxWorries’ latest single, which follows 2022 release “Where I Go” featuring H.E.R. Next, the Yes Lawd! duo will be performing at a host of music festivals during the summer, with stops in Europe, Asia, New York, and California. .Paak, legal name Brandon Anderson, hosted his annual music benefit concert, .Paak House, in his hometown of Oxnard last week.

While .Paak confirmed last January that NxWorries are preparing a new album, the pair has been separately busy. In 2021, .Paak and Bruno Mars released their debut collaborative LP, An Evening With Silk Sonic, while Knwxledge has produced for the likes of Mach-Hommy, Earl Sweatshirt, Westside Gunn, and more while continuing his extensive beat tape catalog.

.Paak will soon release his directorial debut K-POPS!, where he’ll star alongside his eldest son, Soul Rasheed. In the meantime, the 37-year-old has partnered with Häagen-Dazs as part of the ice cream brand’s Butter Cookie Cone flavor launch.

“I’ve loved the brand since I was little. I feel like they’re such a playful and fun brand,” .Paak recently told GQ. “We share the same mission in uplifting people and giving them access to the arts, which is what .Paak House is all about.”
