Today NPR Music has launched a new short-form documentary series in Noteworthy, and first up, we have Miguel. The native LA crooner and r&b star sits with acclaimed journalist Jason King to discuss his artistic influences and creative process, how they've changed over the years and how to be a more politically and socially conscious artist in an age when only a designated few have raised their voices to combat the evils of racism and systemic oppression. It's beautifully shot and offers a rare glimpse at a candid Miguel still figuring out his path in a post-"Adorn" world. You can watch it below, just be sure to catch him on the road throughout the remainder of the year. His Wildheart LP is out now and available to purchase via iTunes.
