Okayplayer is proud to announce that Yasiin Bey (FKA as Mos Def) returns to U.S. soil to perform live at DC Love Fest on May 10th, 2014. Yasiin will be teaming up with Chrisette Michele and co-host Maimouna Youssef to headline the Mother's Day weekend event, which is the 2nd annual Love Festival in our nation's capital. You may recall last year's DC Love Fest with Raheem DeVaughn and Marsha Ambrosius--we're told some other heavy hitters and star Okayplayers will be joining the line up for this year as well--stay tuned to OKP for more announcements.
Love Fest 2014 will also be OKP's official 15th Birthday Party for DC so DMV-area Okayplayers come true and cupcake with us! This is the DC segment of our ongoing year-long 15th anniversary celebration (which also includes our SXSW event series, Roots Picnic 2014 and a few other big things we got in the works).
