Amongst this year's uncharacteristically copious mystery projects, one in particular has garnered at least this writer's attention. That would be Stones Throw's White Boiz; dynamic duo comprised Sa-Ra's Shafiq Husayn and Strong Arm Steady's Krondon, whose debut under the new moniker is quickly approaching. We already caught a whiff of what these two have been putting in the air in the cryptic video for the album's aptly-titled "Mothership Intro." But today, we're getting a glimpse what's next in an intimate performance of the album cut "Learn Tho," straight out of the Stones Throw dungeon. The new cut is another heavy dose of interplanetary hip-hop, featuring a masked Shafiq knob-turning on a cosmic chop and wicked shuffle. Krondon proves again why he's one of the game's most underrated wordsmiths with voracious verbiage and a flow immaculate, all proving that if the record comes off as anything even vaguely reminiscent of its first two reveals, we just might have ourselves a classic in the works.
