Audio: The Weeknd - "Till Dawn (Here Comes The Sun")

Today concludes the string of The Weeknd premieres from his upcoming album, The Trilogy. For the last two days, we've been getting tracks via Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show. First, we got to listen to the emotional "Twenty-Eight." Loved it! Then, yesterday, we got a full-length serving of "Valerie." And today, just as we predicted after hearing yesterday's treat, we're happy to hear "Till Dawn (Here Comes the Sun)." Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) the song makes no reference to the Nina Simone classic, but we won't complain since we probably would've flipped if anyone else messed with Nina (have you seen Zoe Saldana lately? Tsk.). Plus, The Weeknd is making is clear that he and his music stands alone, without need to reference or bite from others. Someone once suggested to me that he reminds them of Michael Jackson and I shut them down. "NAH." Hearing this song makes me reconsider, though; he did kind of just take me to one of those Michael moments. And that is a good thing.

After hearing "Till Dawn," all we need now from The Trilogy is "Enemy," which we'll have to wait until November 13th for (unless there's a leak). For now, though, we're good with this track.
