Video: The Weeknd - "Rolling Stone" + Trilogy Cover Art

Abel Tesfaye AKA The Weeknd goes for the classic feel of stark black and white photography on the brand new visuals for "Rolling Stone," his second-ever official video--a 720-degree departure from the ethiocentric science fantasy of  Mikael Colombu's "The Knowing" and lot cleaner than I would have expected for a lyric with so many subtle variations of gritty texture to it. Yet it feels right, and the spare palette of the visual--limited to Tesfaye's face, an anonymous pair of encircling arms and a slender column of smoke--somehow matches the song, which, in the simplicity of the minimal arrangement and the harshly honest light of the words, could even be called musical chiaroscuro. Fittingly enough, that image is slated to be the album cover photo for his forthcoming Trilogy as well (you can even see the camera flashes going off in the video). Watch below and look for Trilogy to drop in November.
