Vince Staples Ascends Like The Star He Is In New "Lift Me Up" Video

Vince Staples is quickly becoming a household rap name. Whether for his keen cultural commentary or the fact that he dropped one of last year's best records in his full-length debut Summertime '06, Staples is clearly here and here to stay. Today the Long Beach-native adds another notch to his belt with a gripping new video for the album cut "Lift Me Up" fittingly finding Staples half-levitating through much of the clip as interspersed shots of LBC's beaches and barbwires dip in and out of frame.
