Video: Marsha Ambrosius & Eve Live At Essence Music Festival + More Pics

Stacked with star power as always, this year's Essence Music Festival had much more in store than a riveting D'Angelo performance. In addition to D's first day-set on Friday, the festival saw more big r&b names being served up on the three day-menu at Louisiana's Superdome. Among them were Marsha Ambrosius, who debuted her new song "Friends & Lovers" (above) and a newly invigorated Eve performing some of her much-loved hits (below). Also - and we haven't seen any videos surface of this yet but we got some pics after the jump - festival-goers had the pleasure to witness performances by Mary J. Blige, Ledisi, Anthony Hamilton and the one and only Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, who launched into her set with a Whitney Houston-tribute. We'll keep you posted as more footage comes to light.
