Video: DJ Dez Speaks On Dilla X Erykah Badu "Didn'tcha Know"

Slum Village veteran DJ Dez dusts off "Dreamflower" from Tarika Blue--the backbone of Erykah Badu's "Didn'tcha Know"--possibly my personal favorite J Dilla-produced track of all time, right up there with the remix of Keith Murray's "The Rhyme" and "F+ck The Police"--for a special Dilla edition of the Bling47 Breaks webisode series. And Dez should know; he overdubbed the bongos and shakers on the track at Dilla's request. Other installments in the series focus on DJ Amir and Bling47 mastermind Waajeed pulling up the originals from "I Don't Know" and "Featuring Phat Kat" respectively. Happy Dilla month.
