The story of Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls, two of the greatest rappers of all time, will never stop being told. There have been numerous books and movies about the two. And now there’s a television series coming.
USA Network is working on that Biggie and Tupac series. The network has just announced who will be playing the two rappers: Marcc Rose will play Tupac, while Wavyy Jonez will play Biggie.
This is familiar territory for Rose: the actor played Tupac in the hit Straight Outta Compton movie. Jonez, however, is a newcomer. We’re sure Mr. Jonez is shaking in his socks thinking about those Gravy comparisons.
Also exciting is who will be behind the camera lens: Anthony Hemingway, who directed a number of episodes in the excellent The People v. O. J. Simpson mini-series.
