Okayfuture Premiere: Szjerdene - "Arrow(s)"
Once again Szjerdene earns her favored UKplayer status with a soulful new track laid over the finest in moody dancefloor rhythms. "Arrow(s)" is an original Szjerdene composition written, as the name suggests, to "Arrow" by Jacques Greene and Koreless, a pulsing garage-of-the-future soundscape that Szjerdene quickly makes her own, populating the track's hauntingly beautiful aural scenery with human emotion. Like the best of her work, the lyrics of "Arrow(s)" make Szjerdene herself--a "child of the silence"--the central character of a powerful film you can almost see on the back of your eyelids. Definitely has us intrigued for Szjerdene's upcoming cameo on two tracks for the Bonobo LP The North Borders, which drops April 2nd and also features Erykah Badu (!) on "Heaven For The Sinner."
