Philly emcee, uhlife, really grabbed my attention with the release of his song “No Ebola,” earlier this summer. He paired with Soulection producer NiceGuyxVinny for the stripped down track. At the time, uhlife released the track accompanied by the message: “I wrote the song with the intention of letting the powers-that-be know that myself and other peoples of melanin in the struggle won’t be squashed out easily… No matter what evil forces they try to implement against us.” Today, we have some gripping visuals to pair with the audio featuring the masked emcee putting in work mixed in with various news clips - check it below. Video directed by Anaka. “No Ebola” will appear on uhlife’s upcoming LP, lofeye, set to drop next summer via Youngbloods. Below, you can check out some ‘no ebola’ merch (order it here) designed by uhlife and Ivan Forde - 50% of all proceeds will be donated to the organization Street Child in support of children in Sierra Leone and Liberia who've been orphaned due to losing their parents / primary caretakers to the ebola virus.
