Tyler The Creator - "Daisy Bell (Bicycle For Two)" [Official Video]
Tyler The Creator delivers a stirring rendition of Harry Dacre's "Daisy Bell (Bicycle For Two)" for Mark Ryden's upcoming concept album The Gay Nineties - Olde Tyme Music, featuring takes on the greying pop-tune by Katy Perry, Weird Al Yankovic, Nick Cave, Denny Elfman and more. Tyler's rehash struts a filtered and muffled vocal treatment, punctuating synth-horns with big drums making their way into the mix about half way through the track to make your head knock a bit. Its a little off-kilter, but a wholly gratifying offer from OFWGKTA ring leader who owes the project's architext a bid of gratitude for designing the cover art for the deluxe version of Wolf.
The Gay Nineties - Olde Tyme Music drops tomorrow on a spiffy red pressed vinyl -- which you can order via Porterhouse Fine Art -- in conjunction with the debut of his exhibit of the same name at LA's Kohn Gallery. All proceeds from the sale of the album will be donated toLittle Kids Rock; a foundation that strives to improve music programs in disadvantaged schools.
