Travi$ Scott & Kanye West Link For A Hendrix-Leaning Heater
I imagine Travi$ Scott's come-up to be something of a mystery to those in the Okay-realm, particularly in regards to how the Houston-born rapper landed in the purview of one Kanye West. But that's likely of no consequence to the vast majority of you, so we'll just stick to the hard facts. After months and months of chronic delays, Scott's major label debut Rodeo is due on physical and digital shelves this Friday, September 4th with a massive list of guest features including The Weeknd, Toro Y Moi, Schoolboy Q and Mr. West himself, who graces today's leak "Piss On Your Grave." The track itself is sort of a nonsensical arrangement, beginning with heavy, wah-ed-to-death Hendrix-styled guitar work and then slipping into something a little more industrial, veering towards the Yeezus side of things, certainly reminiscent of Ye's turn-up anthem "All Day," as the track comes a fuzzy and abrupt close. And to be honest, if the rest of Rodeo holds true to this kind of raw, gnarly grit, he just might have something on his hands.
