Tracy Morgan Will Make His Official Return To The Stage As Host Of 'SNL' This October
“When I’m there, you’ll know it. I’ll get back to making you laugh. I promise you.”
Those were the words that Tracy Morgan uttered in his heartbreaking first interview back from being critically injured in a car accident last year. And today, it' seems to be official. The New York Times reports that Morgan will host an episode of Saturday Night Live's forthcoming (41st) season on October 17th, which is as fitting a venue as we can dream of, making good on that heavy-hearted promise by returning to the very stage that made Morgan a household name and gave us so many cherished late-night TV moments, courtesy of Brian Fellows, Dominican Lou, Astronaut Jones and the full roster of Morgan characters that still make us smile today. The musical guest has yet to be announced, but let's be honest. Tracy Morgan is about to host SNL as his first gig back from a life-changing injury and they could literally have a crew member doing Miley Cyrus karaoke up there for all we care. A king is getting ready to make a massive return to the public eye and we couldn't be happier. Welcome home, good sir.
