Damn, the kid Topaz Jones makes sure you don't cruise into your weekend without a raw display of pure lyricism. The NY emcee and a 'lost tribe' of sorts meet by the fire and Topaz supplies the flames with his new vid "Coping Mechanism." " This self-directed video is a glimpse inside Jones’ mind, where the struggle between a conflicted conscience and the relentless desire to succeed is realized in the form of a tribal standoff." The single is the first from Topaz' upcoming LP, The Honeymoon Suite, which will feature production from Topaz, Thelonious Martin, and Heart Machine. If the rest of the project sounds anything like this jawn, it'll definitely be a must listen.
