Theophilus London continues to bring back the future old school with his new track "Rio." Featuring Brooklyn's finest backing band, the Menahan Street Band and inspired by a recent trip do Brasil, the track lays back and grooves like a Motown classic but with an appropriately tropical vibe. Think of the sophisticated Lusophone disco of Azymuth crossed with Theophilus' version of "Calypso Blues" and "No Particular One"--both collaborations with The Budos Band, which shares some members with Menahan (specificallyMr. Thomas Brenneck who's been the co-writer on these TL collabos).
