The Roots Help Dwayne Wade & George Gervin "Stay Cool" In New Gatorade Commercial
When it comes to staying cool, we think The Roots might know a thing or two on the subject. Aside from being the baddest band in the biz comprised of sheer excellence in each and every component, the Illafifth crew, practically laid out the blueprint on their hazy 2004 The Tipping Point album cut, "Stay Cool."
In fact, the fellas are so well-versed on the topic that they've actually been recruited to help bring the cool to Miami Heat shooting guard Dwayne Wade in a new Gatorade ad-spot that features 9x NBA all-star, George "The Iceman" Gervin. The commercial has been making rounds during the contentious playoff run and features a reverie-locked Wade getting lost in a sideline moment after taking a sip of you guessed it. Gervin endows Wade with a few gems of wisdom on an icy court as "Stay Cool" slips in and then fades out. You can watch the ad-spot down below.
