Prosecutors have agreed to dismiss a firearms count against the Brooklyn rapper.

The good news just keeps coming for Tekashi 6ix9ine. According to Page Six, federal prosecutors plan to dismiss one count of gun possession from the Brooklyn rapper's racketeering indictment.

"The Government will move to dismiss Count Two at sentencing," explained federal prosecutor Michael Longyear. "Thus...the defendant's mandatory minimum term of incarceration would be 37 years' imprisonment."

However, Tekashi's cooperation with prosecutors would allow judge Paul Engelmayer to impose a sentence much lower than the mandatory minimum. In addition to the prosecution's urges for leniency, over 30 members of 6ix9ine's family and friends recently submitted letters of their own. Tekashi submitted his own letter earlier this week.

Sentencing is scheduled for Wednesday, December 18.
