Audio Premiere: TECLA – ‘BRUJA’ Mixtape

Karas Lamb Karas Lamb writes and digs for tunes you haven’t heard…

TECLA‘s BRUJA mixtape returns with a formidable 15-track lineup of songs from the original mix combined with free/uncleared material including contributions from Fat Tony, Francis and The Lights, Yuri Beats, Kool A.D., Mike Finito, Amaze 88, Big Baby Gandhi, Aliby, Steel Tipped Dove, and Kassa Overall. The project is mash of standouts and stellar production from the genre-defying rapper and singer crowned by “BROOKLYN!” – the closing anthem produced by Yuri Beats – and a crazy cover of “Show Me Love” by Robin S. The mixtape arrives alongside news of TECLA’s upcoming performance at the Brooklyn Night Bazaar on November 30th for the Kool & Kass Homecoming – a free homecoming event featuring Kool & Kass, Pegasus Warning and DJ Treats. The festivities – celebrating Kool A.D.’s return to NYC from a temporary residency in the Bay Area – will also include a listening session at 6 PM for Leap Into The VoidGordon Voidwell‘s forthcoming debut LP, dropping in December via Spoonfed Entertainment. TECLA – a former bandmate of Voidwell’s – will be in the house to support as he preps fans for his first official release. Check the tracks below to listen to the new and improved BRUJA mixtape from TECLA. Scroll down to grab the mixtape download and peep the Kool & Kass Homecoming flyer for event details. Stay tuned for more from TECLA.
