Szjerdene continues to explore new panoramas of soul and Okayplayer is proud to premiere her newest track "The System" produced by Tensei--soaring vocals and crunchy beats held together by nothing but pizzicato strings and pure emotion. If the sonics seem to cut against the conventions of electronic or r&b music as we currently recognize them, that may be because cutting against conventions is what the song is about. As Szjerdene put it:
Falling out of line that society expects. Either be somebody or follow the crowd. Its about realizing that the way things work are so uniform and conventional and I'm trying to show people that they can ‘start a fire in the system’ and go against the grain by being themselves...
