SZA Talks TDE Origins On The Breakfast Club

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

SZA took to The Breakfast Club to discuss her come-up as the first lady of Top Dawg Entertainment and what it's like being the only girl in a boys club. Starting with a few quick words on some of her influences and how her name came to be, SZA broke down her childhood, (growing up in a strict Muslim household) how she first came in contact with TDE's now notorious head honcho Punch and how he took interest in the uniqueness of her voice. She touched on the new album, without giving too much away about when we can expect its release, and even described what her relationship with the fellas was like. For a comprehensive look into the world of hip-hop's illest clique, head on down and peep SZA's interview on The Breakfast Club.
