The Procussions' Stro Elliot Puts In Work On New Installment Of 'Rhythm Roulette'

The Procussion's Stro Elliot Plays 'Rhythm Roulette', Proves He's Got Beats For Days

Week after week, Rhythm Roulette consistently outdoes itself. Mass Appeal's chop clinic returns with another installment today, this time finding The Procussion's alum Stro Elliot in the hot seat. And he does not disappoint.

The standard routine remains; three random selections are bought by the blindfolded subject, taken back to the lab where Elliot splices and dices them up, creating three unique sonic specimens for each respective record. His selections range from singsongy ragtime tunes to straight church music, each with their own perfect mistake to be exploited and transformed into something entirely new by the man at the helm. His chilled-out Soulection vibe is on full-display here, and the session doubles as a lesson in sampling and drum programs from one of the best out.

You can watch Stro Elliot get busy in the booth on Rhythm Roulette down below. Just be sure to keep the head on a swivel, as he readies a full instrumental album on House Shoes' Street Corner Music imprint to be released at some point later this year or early 2017. Get familiar with Elliot's work by exploring his Soundcloud page.
