Spike Lee‘s iconic film Do The Right Thing is celebrating its silver anniversary this year. And to help commemorate the impact of the film, Uncle Spike’s hosting a block party this Saturday in Bed-Stuy, where he will no doubt come face-to-face with the very gentrifiers of Brooklyn that he’s been so openly speaking out against. But that’s neither here nor their. Head on down to Stuyvesant Ave. between Lexington and Quincy from 12:00pm-6:00pm to take part in the festivities and make the inaugural “Do The Right Thing Day” one to be remembered. Just don’t go stepping on anyone’s Jordans. You ain’t ready for that.
