Spike Lee‘s long-time-coming crowd-funded film Da Sweet Blood Of Jesus has been billed as his hottest joint yet. Today we’ve got the official trailer for the film, which appears to finally have a storyline, reimagining the vampire canon as a modern-day tale of addiction and lust. The “low budget” film (which accrued a whopping 1.4 million dollars through its Kickstarter campaign) stars a handful of newcomers to the big screen, including Stephen Tyrone Williams (of Children Of God and The Knick,) Zarraah Abrahams, Rami Malek, Elvis Nolasco and a slew of other young actors and actresses that are sure to dazzle in the new treatment from Mookie and the 40 Acres crew. We’re just hoping to meet the guy that got to sit in Mrs. Lee’s seat at the Knick’s game in exchange for a hefty sum in the funding efforts. Da Sweet Blood Of Jesus will be hitting theaters and iTunes on February 13th, so get acquainted with the new hotness in the stirring trailer for the film below and keep it locked as we creep up on this creepy look from Spike & Co.
