Miguel, Stacy Barthe, Elle Varner and Luke James have joined forces to form the artistic collective Nouveau Noir (or 'new black' for the French-deficient among us). Leaders of the pack ahead of a swarm of artists popping up as r&b enters its second adolescence, the collective is a concentrated shot of unadulterated talent. As if each individual's potential for greatness weren't already well-nigh limitless, they now threaten to be one of the most dangerous musical collectives since the formation of The Soulquarians if they take advantage of the collaborative potential at their feet. Among its core tenets the group cites artistic freedom without stereotypical confines and creative camaraderie from a community of like-minded individuals. Luckily for those interested in applying, the group does not subscribe to exclusivity and invites other (equally talented) artists to get down. Though employed as musicians, they are keen on living and working as well-rounded artists - dabbling in dance, fashion, fine art and other creative avenues. Keep your eyes and ears peeled.
