So you've devoured of Luke Cage's thirteen action-packed episodes in just a few weeks time, reveled in the boundless dopeness that is the show's score (provided by the mighty Ali Shaheed Muhammad and analog specialist Adrian Younge,) convened with your nerdiest comic book adoring friends to straighten out theories and easter eggs. Maybe you've even begun to rewatch the show to tie up any loose ends that may have lingered from the initial run through.
Still, something's missing. But maybe this is it. Straight from the nostalgia-loaded mind of Zach Ace (who brought us the Avengers: Full House opening credits mash-up sequence) Luke Cage has been adorned with its very own 90s sitcom opening treatment, mashed with the beloved theme song from Family Matters. Gone are the tuff edges of the bulletproof Harlem hero's opener, replaced with smiles across the board. In all honesty, this probably isn't the missing piece, but it's a helluva spin on one of the year's most anticipated shows and it's sure to have you grinning ear-to-ear. Watch a much tamer Luke Cage opening unfold in the clip below and keep an eye out for the vinyl release of the show's soundtrack.
