'The Simpsons' May Have Willed a Cypress Hill & The London Symphony Orchestra Show into Existence

There's a pretty hefty list of stranger-than-fiction moments predicted by the oracles in The Simpsons' writing team. Since its 1987 debut as a short on The Tracy Ullman Show (yes, it's really been just over 30 years,) the cartoon family has predicted the rise of Trump, mutant tomatoes (basically the same thing,) smartphones, vote-flipping ballot machines, and Lady Gaga's Super Bowl halftime show (almost verbatim.)

And now, it appears yet another scenario dreamed up in the writer's room may take sharp IRL. Back in 1996, Cypress Hill joined the Springfield staples in the "Homerpalooza" episode, where Homer hops on the bill of a traveling music festival, the line-up for which included The Smashing Pumpkins, Peter Frampton and Sonic Youth. At one point in the episode, a roadie jests over someone hiring The London Symphony Orchestra, "possibly while high." They point at CH with giddy enthusiasm. That was basically the end of the story until yesterday when a stray reference to the appearance on Twitter was not only acknowledged but responded to by LSO,
