Santigold Returns With New Track "Radio"

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

Santigold has done her part to make this a most excellent Tuesday, sharing a brand new track off of the Paper Towns soundtrack entitled "Radio." Built over a deep dance beat, echoing guitars and snares co-opted from the best dancehall tracks you've yet to discover for yourself, the song is an anthemic return to form for Santigold, who has reportedly been working hard on the follow-up to her 2012 LP Master of My Make-Believe and is gunning for a late 2015 release. A soaring summer jam that sings of the simple joy of music, "Radio" seems equally suited for top-down convertible driving and dark, sweaty basement dancing.

Paper Towns is directed by Cara Delevingne and will be released in theaters on July 24th. It tells the story of two young neighbors who get wrapped up in fictional mysteries and actual disappearances. Santigold's new track seems perfectly suited for a lighthearted cinema scene, and given her recent practice providing music for the NBA 2K15 OST and FIFA World Cup, soaring anthems seem to be a familiar specialty for the singer-producer. Listen to "Radio" below and be on the lookout for Santigold's next full-length release to hit your earbuds before the year is out.
