Remy Banks Reps For Queens On New Single "n1go"

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

Bright-shining young rapper Remy Banks has returned with a brand new single, entitled "n1go." The track features production from Detroit beatsmith Black Noi$e and is loaded with strange tones and video game sound effects (we hear Super Mario Bros blips and an arpeggio line plucked straight a Final Fantasy start screen). Banks, though, is what this one's all about--the World Fair crew rapper has once again proven that he can rap with an acumen that defies his young age, and we're always pleased to hear great new sounds coming out of Queens, New York. "To me, n1go is the one," Banks told Billboard, who premiered the track this afternoon. "Like Neo was the one in the matrix, he's the one when it comes to the fashion I'm drawn to. He's that n**ga and when I'm out functioning (which is rare), I feel like that n**ga!"

"n1go" will be featured on Remy Banks's upcoming mixtape higher, which was also just announced through Billboard and is set to drop on May 18th. That release will feature production work from King Krule, Left Brain of Odd Future, and Ratking's Sporting Life. Banks is currently on tour backing up another young prodigious rapper--Earl Sweatshirt--and will be hitting numerous stages on the East Coast and in the South over the coming weeks. Listen to his new drop "n1go" below and keep an ear out for more from the Worlds Fair honcho.
